“Amplify Event is a weekend of self-advocacy, goal-setting and confidence. Participants build these skills through activities including rehearsals, interview, breakout sessions, a service project and even a few dance parties. Friendships are built and celebrated here,” Samantha Youngren, Burlington, state director of North Dakota Miss Amazing, said.
Participants are girls and women with disabilities from across the state from the communities of Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, Grand Forks, Williston and Jamestown and many others.
Seven state representatives will be chosen as queens, one from each age division, to go on to attend the Miss Amazing National Summit in Chicago, Illinois, this summer.
