GLEN ULLIN — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of the drivers involved in a two-vehicle crash on N.D. Highway 49 near Glen Ullin Thursday, March 26.

Anthony Deavers, 35, Beulah, was driving a Chevrolet Colorado pickup.

Laura Backhaus, 40, New Salem, was driving a Ford Escape.

According to the Highway Patrol, the Ford failed to stop, entered the intersection, crossed the path of the Chevrolet and the vehicles collided. A juvenile passenger in the Ford died at the scene. The driver of the Colorado, the driver of the Ford and three juvenile passengers in the Ford were seriously injured and taken to a Bismarck medical center.
