Minot man sentenced for cocaine possession
A Minot man has been sentenced to serve 18 months with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.
Trealyn Dewayne Rasberry, 30, entered a change of plea in North Central District Court on Thursday, March 12, pleading guilty to one count of possession with intent to deliver-cocaine, a Class B felony.
According to court documents, Minot Police responded to a call for service in the early morning of April 27, 2025, about a white 2017 GMC Sierra that appeared to be involved in an accident with a business on South Broadway.
Officers approached the vehicle, which was pressed up against the building, and identified the driver as Rasberry. Officers observed an open container of alcohol and a firearm in the vehicle’s cupholder and located a mini-Draco rifle in between the center console and driver seat.
Raspberry was placed under arrest for DUI-refusal, and subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 16 individual bags of cocaine, a minor amount of marijuana, a Mac 11 9mm firearm and $185.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, police seized 11.93 grams of cocaine from Rasberry’s vehicle.
District Court Judge Todd Cresap sentenced Rasberry to serve 10 years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, to first serve 18 months. Rasberry was ordered to complete two years of supervised probation upon release, and pay $775 in court fines and fees.
The three firearms were forfeited to law enforcement, while the $185 seized was ordered to be forfeited to the Ward County Narcotics Task Force.
