Minot man charged with GSI, luring minor

A Minot man has been charged with multiple felonies including gross sexual imposition for allegedly luring and harboring a runaway minor.

Gabriel Rogers, 20, made his initial appearance in North Central District Court Monday, March 16. Rogers is charged with two counts of gross sexual imposition-victim under 15-defendant under 22, a Class A felony; luring minors by computer-defendant under 22 believes victim under 15, two counts of delivery of controlled substance-marijuana, all Class C felonies; harboring a runaway minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, both Class A misdemeanors.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, an individual reported to Minot Police on Nov. 1, 2025, that Rogers may have a 14-year-old runaway staying with him, and believed they were engaging in a sexual relationship. The reporting party provided a recording of a phone conversation with Rogers to law enforcement, in which Rogers admitted to engaging in sexual activity with the alleged victim. The victim was later located at Rogers’ residence later that night by law enforcement.

A report of suspected child abuse and neglect was filed on behalf of the juvenile victim on Jan. 9, in which disclosed the sexual activity with Rogers and that he had provided the juvenile with alcohol and marijuana. The victim told investigators the sexual relationship lasted several months, which was corroborated by their text messages extracted from the victim’s phone.

Rogers is currently being held at the Ward County Jail.
