Library offers program variety for teens

Teens looking for creative activities, games and social opportunities can find a wide variety of programs at the Minot Public Library.

The library regularly hosts events designed for young people ages 12-18, giving teens a chance to meet friends, try new activities and spend time at the library in a welcoming environment. Library officials say these programs are designed to encourage creativity while providing a safe, supervised space where teens can gather, learn new skills and build friendships.

A creative activity scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, lets teens participate in a craft project involving the decoration of themed bottles for the spring season. The library also will host after-school gaming on Tuesday, March 31, offering a relaxed space for teens to play games and spend time together after school.

In addition to organized activities, teens visiting the library can take advantage of resources such as the library’s Makerspace and technology tools, which allow young people to experiment with digital media, design projects and other creative activities.

The Minot Public Library offers programming year-round for children, teens and adults, including crafts, educational programs and social events. Teen programs are typically held in the library’s meeting rooms and are free to attend.

Starting at $2.99/week.
