Korean War veterans honored at Somerset Court

Three Korean War veterans residing at Somerset Court were honored Tuesday, March 10, during a special Veterans Lunch recognizing their service and sacrifice.
They are: Al Jundt, U.S. Army; Dan Baranick, U.S. Air Force; and Richard Kinsley, U.S. Army.
The event, hosted by Somerset Court, brought together veterans, residents, guests and local veteran advocates to celebrate the contributions of America’s Korean War veterans.
DAV Chapter 4 member Ron Garcia, serving as emcee, expressed gratitude for the veterans’ dedication and presented each honoree with commemorative mementos to acknowledge and memorialize their military service.
The Korean War concluded with the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement on July 27, 1953, ending active combat operations. More than 70 years later, these veterans continue to inspire their community through their courage and resilience.
