Blood Moon
Submitted photo This image of a blood moon total lunar eclipse was captured Tuesday, March 3, at 5:45 a.m. in Williston. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth blocks the sun but sunlight reaches the moon indirectly, creating a red hue, according to scientists. The eclipse could be seen in North America, parts of South America, East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Photo by Roger Riveland.
