NDSU Extension is offering a free QPR Suicide Prevention Certification training on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 3-4:30 p.m. in the First District Health Unit Conference Center.

Participants will learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to take action. The training teaches individuals how to question someone about suicide, persuade them to seek help and refer them to appropriate resources.

The workshop is open to everyone, and no prior experience is required. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the training that is valid for two years.
