Minot, area students named to Academic All-State team
The North Dakota Association of Secondary School Principals has announced the selections for the 2026 North Dakota Academic All-State team, which included several students from Minot and area schools.
Two hundred forty-five high school seniors were nominated by their school principal and competed for statewide honor in the Class AA, A and B divisions. Students are selected based on grade-point averages, ACT or SAT scores, extracurricular activities, community involvement and leadership qualities.
For the Class AA team, Kjell Andersen of Minot High School was selected for the Bronze team, while Isabella Peatross, Michael Zepeda, Teagan Bennett and Danielle Ricks, all of Minot High School; and Matthew Bacor, Martha Ward, Cambriella Walker, Logan Dixon and Jocelyn Camp, all of Minot North High School received honorable mention.
Cayden Stehley of Nedrose High School, Minot, was selected for the Class A Gold Team, while Elizabeth Nelson of Stanley, Audrey Wierson of Bottineau, Gabrielle Schmidt of South Prairie and Maycie Tawlbott of Max received honorable mention.
On the Class B side, Clara Ankenbauer of Bowbells and Gabby Sutton of Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood were named to the Silver team. Levi Jensen of Powers Lake, Sage Hanson of TGU-Granville, and Dillon Dragseth of TGU-Towner received honorable mention.
