Crude oil spill occurs near Arnegard
ARNEGARD — Devon Energy Williston LLC reported that 16,800 gallons of crude oil were released onto location at the Sturgeon East Pad site, about 3 miles northeast of Arnegard, Saturday, Feb. 7.
The company notified the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division of the spill.
As of Monday, Feb. 9, 13,440 gallons have been recovered.
A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
