Chili Bowl X returns for night of community impact
A favorite community tradition is returning as Chili Bowl X, the 10th annual chili cook-off fundraiser benefiting Independence, Inc., will take place on Thursday, March 5, at 5 p.m. at The Grand Oasis Hotel in Minot.
Chili Bowl X enlists local restaurants and businesses in a friendly competition to determine who makes the best chili. Guests will enjoy unlimited chili tastings while voting for their favorites and taking part in an energetic evening designed to bring people together for a great cause.
Attendees can enjoy live music, a chance auction with locally donated items, a small bake sale, a wine pull and a gift card pull, making Chili Bowl X a full night of entertainment and giving.
All proceeds from Chili Bowl X support Independence, Inc., a nonprofit organization that serves people with disabilities across the region. Funds raised help support peer support programs, independent living skills training, advocacy and services that empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and be active members of their communities.
“The Chili Bowl has become one of our most meaningful fundraisers because it brings together local businesses, restaurants, and supporters for a fun night that truly makes a difference,” said Tonya Parker, director of Community Relations at Independence, Inc. “Every ticket, every table and every sponsorship directly supports programs that help people with disabilities build independence and connection.”
Tickets are available for individual attendees, and corporate sponsorship opportunities are strongly encouraged. Businesses can purchase sponsored tables for employees, clients or guests. Tickets, table sponsorships and additional event details are available from Independence, Inc.
