Victim of crash near Leeds identified
LEEDS – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of those involved in a two-vehicle fatal crash on U.S. Highway 2, about six miles east of Leeds, Monday, Jan. 12.
Daniel Stave, 72, Leeds, driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, died from injuries received in the crash.
Kelby Houchin, 34, Fessenden, driver of a 2007 International semi pulling a trailer loaded with corn, was not injured.
According to the Highway Patrol, Stave was traveling west on Highway 2. When Houchin turned onto Highway 2 from Highway 281, Stave’s pickup struck the rear of the loaded trailer.
