INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation shared results of its Twice Blessed campaign and distributed checks totaling more than $1.55 million at its 9th Annual Twice Blessed Program at the Sleep Inn in Minot Thursday, Jan. 22.

The Twice Blessed matching gift program took place Nov. 15-Dec. 31 with contributions given to predetermined grant approved organizations. Checks were distributed for projects that impact the mental, physical, spiritual and/or emotional well-being of people in the counties of Bottineau, Burke, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Ward and Wells.

No gift was too small and gifts were matched accordingly by predetermined amounts up to a grand match total of $536,800 provided by INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation. Donations exceeding $1.22 million were received from the community, with $200,000 donated to organization endowment funds for a total impact to the community of more than $1.7 million dollars, according to INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation (ICHF).

Those impacted included area hospitals and senior center needs, inclusivity improvements, fire department needs, university scholarships for students of nursing, social work and communication disorders, mental health programs, food pantries, summer camp opportunities, dental mobile care for children, outdoor recreation activities for veterans, advocacy and homeless programs, AmeriCorps volunteer program and Scout programs.

“We are very thankful for the many organizations, board members, staff and volunteers who work diligently in our region to secure a better quality of life by identifying and serving the needs in their communities,” said Shelly Weppler, ICHF president. “We are especially in awe and grateful for the hundreds of donors who made gifts during the Twice Blessed program.
