Trinity Health temporarily relocates patients
Trinity Health temporarily relocated 12 patients from Trinity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital Saturday afternoon, Jan. 3, due to a boiler issue. St. Joseph’s patients were relocated to Trinity Health Hospital on the Healthcare Campus and Medical District, according to Trinity Health information.
The boiler issue caused a liquid leak and unreliable heating at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The appropriate authorities were immediately notified and responded to on-site cleanup. The leak presents no threat to the health and safety of patients or the public.
This was a proactive relocation of patients to ensure their comfort and safety. Patients of Trinity Health St. Joseph’s inpatient behavioral health and rehab care units were affected. Visitors and family members should call 418-8000 before visiting relocated patients.
