Traffic stop leads to multiple arrests
Two individuals with outstanding warrants were arrested by Minot Police after a traffic stop in northwest Minot on Monday, Jan. 26.
According to information from the Minot Police Department, officers determined the driver of the vehicle, Rowdy J. Doty, 31, Minot, was driving under suspension, without insurance and had an outstanding warrant out of Morton County. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as Alec O. Sager, 25, Minot, who was determined to have seven outstanding warrants.
Sager resisted arrest as officers attempted to take him into custody, became combative and headbutted an officer before he was brought to the ground and complied with commands. Both Doty and Sager were in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Doty was charged with driving under suspension, a Class B misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia-second offense, a Class C felony, and was issued a citation for no liability insurance.
Sager was charged with preventing arrest, simple assault of a peace officer and possession of drug paraphernalia-second offense, all Class C felonies. Both were transported to the Ward County Jail without incident.
