A suspect wanted in connection to a high-risk domestic incident in northwest Minot on Saturday, Jan. 3, was arrested by Minot Police.

According to Minot Police Department information, officers were dispatched to a northwest Minot residence for a report of a high-risk domestic incident. Officers encountered an armed male which led to a standoff. Officers were able to maintain communication with the suspect, who ultimately safely surrendered a firearm.

The suspect, identified by Minot Police as Enrique Joel Pacheco, 29, was taken into custody without further incident. Officers made contact with the alleged victim, and it was determined Pacheco physically assaulted the victim, made threats to kill the victim and intentionally interfered with an emergency call.

Pacheco was transported to the Ward County Jail where he was booked on charges including domestic violence-serious bodily injury, terrorizing adult-victim, and interference with telephone during an emergency call, all Class C felonies.
