GLENBURN – A tank failure caused a produced water spill, about 2 miles northeast of Glenburn, Sunday, Jan. 25.

Cobra Oil and Gas Corporation notified the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) of the spill and said it impacted the surrounding prairie. The company said about 10,500 gallons of produced water were released from the tank.

Personnel from the NDDEQ have inspected the site and will continue to monitor the investigation and remediation.
