MSO to host live music, true-crime storytelling
The Minot Symphony Orchestra will host Music & Midwest Murder LIVE, a one-night immersive event combining live music and true-crime storytelling, on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m. in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall at Minot State University.
The event features a live recording of the Midwest Murder podcast, offering audiences an up-close experience with true-crime storytelling, according to Minot Symphony Orchestra information.
Following the recording, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a live audience question-and-answer session with podcast hosts. Audience members will be able to submit questions using their phones, and those in attendance also will have the chance to help name the episode recorded that evening.
“This is a fun, engaging way to support the symphony while experiencing a completely different kind of live performance,” Executive Director Ellen Fenner said.
The evening will include live music performances before the podcast recording. The SubZero Winds will perform during a pre-show social, followed by reserved seating accompanied by music from The Anderson Family. The Anderson Family will also perform the Midwest Murder theme song, written by Erik Mychal Anderson, as part of the program.
The event is intended for mature audiences.
