FORT TOTTEN – After speaking with a family member, Spirit Lake tribal officials have confirmed the victim of a homicide that occurred on the Spirit Lake Reservation on Sunday, Jan. 11, was Jesse Clark Davis, 31.

A juvenile male was apprehended and currently is in custody. His name and identifying information are not being released in accordance with juvenile justice protections under state and federal laws, according to a news release from the Spirit Lake Tribe.

Both Davis and the suspect are enrolled members of the Spirit Lake Tribe.

Davis’ survivors include his three children and seven brothers.

The FBI is the lead investigative agency and continues to investigate the incident.
