A 35-year-old Minot man was arrested by Minot Police Friday afternoon, Jan. 23, on firearm charges.

According to the Minot Police Department, late Friday afternoon, Minot SWAT assisted the Ward County Narcotics Task Force with the service of a search warrant in the 10 block of 11th Avenue Southwest.

Kenneth Talford was taken into custody without incident. He was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, a Class C felony; possession of an altered firearm, a misdemeanor; and an outstanding warrant.

Talford was transported to the Ward County Jail.
