Learn to read animal tracks at Confluence Learning Lab
WILLISTON — The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston will host a Confluence Learning Lab on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 2-3 p.m. to explore identifying and interpreting animal tracks in the snow. This free, family-friendly program is open to all ages.
Make clay track casts to take home and get hands-on with an owl pellet dissection to discover what local predators eat. Through play, exploration and real scientific tools, participants will learn how animals live, hunt, and survive during winter on the northern Plains.
Fort Buford State Historic Site and the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center are managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
