History meets play at Confluence interpretive center

WILLISTON — Escape the chill of the North Dakota winter with an afternoon of friendly competition, laughter, and history from 1-4 p.m. on select Wednesdays and Fridays in January at the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston.

Events will be held Wednesdays Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28, and Fridays Jan. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

During this free program, visitors can explore the Interpretive Center’s collection of educational and historical board games for all ages or bring their favorites to share. This family-friendly event is part of the ND250 commemoration celebrating the country’s 250th year.

Fort Buford State Historic Site and the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center are managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
