Fedorchak announces reelection run

Julie Fedorchak

BISMARCK – Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak, R-ND, officially announced on Monday, Jan. 5, her campaign for reelection to the U.S. House of Representatives.

“As a fourth-generation North Dakotan, I want the very best state and nation for my kids and for families across our state. That means advancing policies to make America safer, stronger, and more affordable, and that’s what I’m working toward every day,” Fedorchak said in her announcement. “In just one year, we delivered the largest tax cut in history, blocked the Biden administration’s effort to kill North Dakota’s coal, oil and gas industries, and eliminated tax credits that fueled costly green energy mandates. I’m grateful for the strong support from North Dakotans, our congressional and state leadership and President Donald Trump. Together, we’re just getting started.”

During her first term so far, Fedorchak lists as highlights her introduction of 14 bills, of which three were signed into law, and her help in resolving 543 cases North Dakotans had with the federal government. She held eight statewide, online forums and 37 roundtables.

She serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, where she states she has worked to implement fiscal discipline in the House and cut nearly $1 trillion in waste from bloated government spending.

President Donald Trump has endorsed Fedorchak.

Challenging Fedorchak for the House seat is Alex Balazs, a former U.S. House candidate who had gained the state party’s nomination in 2024 but only 4% of the statewide vote. He announced his latest campaign in December.

Starting at $2.99/week.
