Central Dakota MPO sets public meetings on transit plan
The Central Dakota Metropolitan Planning Organization (CDMPO) invites the public to an upcoming public meeting to learn more about and provide input on the Transit Development Plan (TDP) for the Minot area.
The Transit Development Plan is a planning effort focused on evaluating current transit services, identifying community needs and developing recommendations to guide future transit investments and improvements over the next five to 10 years, according to CDMPO information.
Two identical open-house meetings will be held to provide multiple opportunities for public participation. Meetings will be Tuesday, Jan. 20, from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m. Both meetings will take place in the Minot City Council Chambers, 10 3rd Ave. SW.
Attendees will be able to review project information, speak with project staff and share feedback on transit needs, priorities and opportunities. A recorded presentation will play periodically, and participants may attend at any time during either meeting.
The CDMPO states public input is a critical part of the planning process, and it encourages residents, transit riders, businesses and other stakeholders to attend and share their perspectives.
Individuals requiring accessibility accommodations may submit requests at least seven days prior to the meeting or prior to the date any translation of written material is needed. The CDMPO will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities, language interpretation for people with limited English proficiency and translations of written material necessary to access CDMPO programs and information.
To request accommodations, contact City of Minot Title VI and ADA Coordinator at 857-4756.
TTY users may use Relay North Dakota at 711 or 1-800-366-6888.
