BISMARCK – Col. Daniel Haugen, superintendent of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, announced Tuesday, Jan. 13, that the Accreditation Public Comment Portal for NDHP is now open.

The NDHP has maintained its accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) since 1989 and has received meritorious recognition for maintaining accreditation for more than 15 consecutive years. To retain accredited status, the NDHP must comply with more than 350 professional public safety standards.

The CALEA Public Comment Portal will be open through March 31 to allow community members to share feedback regarding the NDHP’s performance and quality of service. The portal can be accessed through the NDHP website.
