Bismarck Airport resumes operations following bomb threat
BISMARCK – Normal operations resumed at the Bismarck Airport Monday evening, Jan. 5, following a reported bomb threat.
According to the Bismarck Police Department, about 4:30 p.m., Bismarck Airport officials received a phone call reporting a bomb threat at the facility, claiming that explosive devices were located inside the building. Airport Operations and staff immediately initiated evacuation procedures to ensure the safety of passengers and employees.
The Bismarck Police Department Bomb Squad responded to the scene and conducted a comprehensive sweep of the airport in accordance with standard operating procedures. Following the search, Bomb Squad technicians confirmed that no explosive devices were found.
About 6:45 p.m., Airport Operations reopened the terminal and resumed normal operations.
