Two die in crash in Mountrail County
TIOGA – A 21-year-old Bismarck man and a 44-year-old Burnsville, Minnesota, man died in a two-vehicle crash on N.D. Highway 1804 in Mountrail County, about 5 miles east of the Williams County line Monday, Dec. 15.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 7:55 a.m., a 2007 Western Star semi driven by a 48-year-old Watford City man, was traveling westbound on Highway 1804. A 2015 Chrysler 200, driven by the Bismarck man, crossed into the westbound lane and started to slide. The semi struck the driver’s side of the Chrysler. All occupants of the vehicles were wearing seat belts.
The road conditions were icy at the time of the crash, according to the Highway Patrol.
The driver and passenger of the Chrysler died at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
