ND Republicans plan next year’s state convention in Minot
The North Dakota Republican Party Executive Committee has announced the party’s 2026 State Convention will be held in Minot on Saturday and Sunday, March 28-29, at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds. Registration and a social will be held Friday evening, March 27.
“The NDGOP Convention is where grassroots Republicans from every corner of North Dakota come together to shape the future of our party and our state.” said GOP Chairman Matthew Simon. “It is where party business is conducted, our platform is debated and refined, leadership is chosen, and candidates earn the trust and endorsement of the people who power this party day in and day out.”
The two-day event will bring together NDGOP members, speakers, delegates and guests for a comprehensive agenda that includes endorsing a Congressional representative and statewide candidates and conducting official party business.
Statewide races open to endorsement are attorney general, agriculture commissioner, tax commissioner and two Public Service Commission members.
“The convention is a reflection of who we are as a party,” Simon said. “The delegates in that room are farmers, small business owners, parents, veterans, energy workers and community leaders. They bring real-world experience, strong convictions and a shared commitment to faith, family, freedom and opportunity. Their voices ensure our party remains grounded in conservative principles and responsive to the people we serve.”
The convention will provide delegates the opportunity to either attend the Chairman’s Prayer Breakfast or a place of worship of their choosing Sunday morning with party business to resume at noon.
