Minot firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a southeast Minot parking lot Sunday, Dec. 15.

According to Minot Fire Department information, about 11:17 p.m., the department responded to a report of a vehicle on fire in the parking lot of a southeast Minot hotel.

Firefighters arrived on scene within 5 minutes of the initial dispatch and found the front of the vehicle engulfed in flames. Crews were advised there were no occupants in the vehicle prior to arrival and immediately began extinguishing the fire.

The vehicle was not located near any buildings or other vehicles, allowing the damage to be contained to the vehicle.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
