GRAND FORKS – The Alzheimer’s Association will offer a free virtual presentation, “The Empowered Caregiver: Building Foundations of Caregiving,” on Tuesday, Jan. 6, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This presentation is free and open to the public.

The class is designed to increase caregiver confidence while reducing stress. It will offer helpful ways to approach the responsibilities of caring for someone living with dementia using a person-centered approach. The course explores the role of the caregiver and changes they may experience, how to build a support team and ways to manage caregiver stress.

Registration is required by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-Dakota Chapter. This project is funded through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, Adult & Aging Services Section.
