The two individuals arrested as accomplices to a fatal stabbing in November are now being held on $2 million cash or corporate surety bonds after their initial appearance in North Central District Court on Monday, Dec. 1.

Autumn Tincher, 22, and Cole R. Brown, 21, both of Minot, were arrested by the Minot Police Department on Saturday, Nov. 29, in connection with the Nov. 7 homicide of Anthony William Redmond in northeast Minot. Tincher and Brown have been charged with accomplice to murder-extreme-indifference, a Class AA felony. Chozey Joran Morsette, 30, Minot, is charged with allegedly stabbing Redmond in his residence in the early morning on Nov. 7, but according to court documents, Ward County prosecutors are seeking to have this charge amended to accomplice to murder along with Tincher and Brown.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed on Monday, a witness came forward to police after Redmond’s death, alleging Tincher had made comments about having someone “jump” Redmond over comments he had made about her.

According to court documents, the three defendants and a fourth person went to Redmond’s residence the morning of Nov. 7, before a planned trip to Fargo. Morsette allegedly told investigators he got into a fight with Redmond, but he claimed Brown had been the one to stab the victim. However, according to the affidavit of probable cause, investigators had determined Redmond’s wounds contradicted Morsette’s version of events, and Brown refused to give a statement.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for all three defendants on Wednesday, Jan. 7.

Starting at $2.99/week.
