HARVEY – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a pickup-combine crash occurring Friday, Oct. 31, two miles northeast of Harvey.

Mark Mears, 47, Harvey, driver of a 2020 Nissan Titan pickup, died in the crash.

According to the Highway Patrol, about 12:52 p.m., Mears was traveling eastbound on 29th Street Northeast. A 2025 Case 9260 combine, driven by Ethan Arnold, 23, Harvey, was traveling southbound on 39th Avenue Northeast.

The intersection of 29th Street and 39th Avenue is an uncontrolled intersection, according to the Highway Patrol. Neither vehicle yielded and a T-bone collision occurred, the Highway Patrol also said.

Mears died at the scene. Arnold was not injured. Both drivers were not wearing seat belts, the Highway Patrol said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
