Roads open at Dakota Square
Mall Loop Road at Dakota Square has reopened, according to the City of Minot.
The road sections both south and north of the intersection with 24th Avenue Southwest reopened this past week. Crews continue to work in the area on landscaping, cleanup and other finishing work, so motorists are reminded to drive carefully through this area.
The work is part of the Puppy Dog Coulee Storm Sewer District, a project to replace the aging storm sewer culvert system, which conveys storm water from west of Minot, across 16th Street Southwest through the area of Dakota Square Mall and to the Highway 2/52 ditch. In addition to age and condition, the pipes have needed to be upsized to handle the amount of storm water in the 9,500-acre Puppy Dog Coulee drainage basin.
