Public input sought on Third Street construction

The City of Minot will hold a public input meeting Thursday, Nov. 20, on the proposed Third Street reconstruction project.

The project area extends from First Avenue Southeast to First Avenue Northeast, or from just north of Central Avenue to south of Burdick Expressway. The project area includes a railroad crossing and runs past the Ward County Administration Building and Courthouse.

The project will reconstruct Third Street and a portion of Central Avenue in concrete, replace aging underground utilities, upgrade storm sewer connections, improve sidewalks and accessibility features, and refresh lighting and streetscape elements to align with previous downtown improvements.

The meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 7 p.m., in Minot City Hall, council chambers. Anyone needing special accommodation for the meeting should notify the city clerk’s office at 857-4752.

Representatives from the City of Minot and Apex Engineering Group will be on hand to answer questions.

If unable to attend the meeting, a pre-recorded presentation and other materials will be available from the City of Minot. Written comments can be submitted, postmarked or emailed by Dec. 5 with “Public Input Meeting – PCN 24411/24601” in the letter heading or e-mail subject.

Send all comments to Matt Kinsella, 4733 Amber Valley Pkwy S., Fargo, ND 58104, or email to Matt.Kinsella@apexenggroup.com.
