Police investigate early morning homicide in northeast Minot

The Minot Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance as part of a ongoing investigation into a homicide that occurred early in the morning on Friday, Nov. 7, in northeast Minot.

The incident happened in the 500 block of Second Street Northeast.

Investigators are asking any residents in the area of Third Street Northeast to Broadway, between Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Avenues Northeast, to review any Ring or other home security camera footage between the hours of 5:30- 6:15 a.m. for possible activity in the area. Anyone who has captured video is asked to submit video to the police department. Information can be shared with investigators through the public submission portal.

“Our investigators are working diligently to piece together the events of this morning,” said Deputy Chief Dale Plessas in a news release. “We’re asking anyone who may have seen or heard something unusual to reach out. Even a small detail could prove critical in helping us bring clarity to this case.”

Investigators have no reason to believe this was a random incident.
