New DOT exam location available in Minot
Northland Health Centers has announced Family Nurse Practitioner Tasha Leier has officially become a certified medical examiner on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) National Registry of providers.
The certification recognizes Leier’s successful completion of the FMCSA’s rigorous training and testing requirements, which focus on federal physical qualifications and standards for commercial motor vehicle drivers. With this achievement, she is credentialed to perform physical qualification examinations for truck and bus drivers.
“Becoming a certified medical examiner is an important step in supporting the health and safety of our commercial drivers,” Leier said in a news release. “I’m proud to offer this service locally and help ensure that drivers meet the federal standards required to stay on the road.”
This accreditation also allows Northland Health Centers to strengthen its occupational health services and expand access to care for commercial vehicle drivers in Minot and the surrounding communities.
“Tasha’s certification enhances our ability to serve the transportation workforce close to home,” Melissa McClintock, Northland Health Centers medical director, said in the release. “It reflects our commitment to expanding access and delivering high-quality care where it’s needed most.”
Appointments can be booked in advance, and same-day availability may be offered upon request.
