INSPIRITUS awards grants, launches Twice Blessed

INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation announced $728,686 in grants to organizations across north central North Dakota, including $191,886 in regular grants awarded Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Regional Community Grant Awards Luncheon in Minot.
INSPIRITUS also announced $536,800 in Twice Blessed matching grants open for public giving Saturday, Nov. 15.
According to INSPIRITUS information, the grants support programs strengthen mental, physical, spiritual and emotional well-being across Bottineau, Burke, McHenry, McLean, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville, Rolette, Sheridan, Ward and Wells counties. Funded projects include youth camp scholarships, senior services, AED replacements, mental health programs, therapy upgrades, public safety, community accessibility, arts and culture, emergency response and support for vulnerable populations.
“We are especially thankful and grateful to the many organizations, board members, staff and volunteers who work tirelessly in our region to secure a better quality of life by identifying and serving the needs in their communities,” Shelly Weppler, president of INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation, said.
Beginning Saturday, Nov. 15, eligible donations to Twice Blessed participants will be matched up to $518,300 through Dec. 31. Last year, $1.5 million in donations and grants were distributed through the program. Both Twice Blessed and endowment gifts qualify for matching, and endowment gifts may be eligible for a 40% North Dakota tax credit.
