The Minot Fire Department reported it responded to the Amtrak Station Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, in response to a call regarding smoke coming from the exterior of the dining car in a compartment housing batteries.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. All occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported, according to the department.
