Community invited to honor crash victims
BISMARCK – Families and friends of those who have lost their lives or suffered injuries in vehicle crashes are invited to join state and local officials for the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. The commemoration will begin at noon Friday, Nov. 14, in Memorial Hall at the North Dakota State Capitol.
Families are welcome to bring items representing their loved ones to create a temporary memorial symbolizing lives lost on North Dakota’s roads. All items will be returned immediately after the event, hosted by the North Dakota Department of Transportation and Vision Zero.
This annual international event, observed each year in North Dakota, honors the millions of people who have died or were injured in road crashes worldwide. Attendees are encouraged to join in raising awareness and calling for action to prevent future tragedies.
