Arrest made in connection with NE Minot homicide

A Minot man who was being sought by Minot Police in connection with a Nov. 7 homicide in northeast Minot was arrested by the Bismarck Police Department on Saturday, Nov. 22.
According to a news release from the Minot Police Department, Chozey Joran Morsette, 30, was arrested in connection with the homicide of Anthony William Redmond.
Morsette is charged with murder, a Class AA felony, according to the release.
Minot Police identified Morsette as the suspect in the case and asked for assistance from the public in locating him.
Redmond’s body was located in the 500 block of Second Street Northeast in Minot in the early morning of Nov. 7. He died as a result of injuries sustained from a stabbing, according to an earlier news release from Minot Police.
“We want to thank the community for their cooperation and the information they provided throughout this investigation,” said Deputy Chief Dale Plessas in the release. “Our investigative team worked tirelessly to follow up on every lead, and the support from the public played an important role in helping us identify and apprehend the suspect. We also want to express our appreciation to the Bismarck Police Department for their assistance during this arrest.”
