Tioga woman killed in two-vehicle collision
HARVEY – A 45-year-old Tioga woman died and a 73-year-old Minot man was injured when the vehicles they were driving crashed nine miles southeast of Harvey on U.S. Highway 52, Wednesday, Oct. 15.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, about 10:26 p.m., a 2007 Kenworth truck, driven by the Minot man, was traveling southeast on Highway 52. At the same time, a 2015 Nissan Rogue SUV, driven by the Tioga woman, was traveling northwest on the highway. The Nissan crossed the centerline and struck the Kenworth head-on.
The driver of the Nissan died at the scene. The driver of the Kenworth sustained injuries and was transported to a Harvey healthcare facility.
It is not known if the Nissan driver was wearing a seat belt. The Kenworth driver was wearing a seat belt, according to the Highway Patrol.
The crash remains under investigation of the Highway Patrol.
