Suspect arrested following threats at restaurant patrons
A Minot man was arrested Saturday for felony terrorizing and a second was cited for misdemeanors in a case involving threats made to patrons at a southeast Minot restaurant, according to the Minot Police Department.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, at about 4:13 a.m., police were dispatched to the establishment for reports of a male in the parking lot with a firearm near a BMW sedan. The male was reportedly making threats and attempting to start a fight with customers inside the restaurant.
Upon arrival, officers located three individuals inside the reported vehicle. All occupants were ordered out of the vehicle and detained for further investigation.
Through the investigation, officers identified Elijah Khalil Haddon, 26, of Minot Air Force Base, as the suspect who had threatened the use of a firearm. Haddon was observed loading and brandishing a handgun, causing an employee to fear for his safety and lock down the business. The firearm described by witnesses was recovered from the suspect vehicle.
Haddon was arrested for terrorizing, a Class C felony. The driver, Christopher Isaac DeSantiago, 27, of Minot Air Force Base, was arrested for actual physical control and refusal to submit to a chemical test, both Class B misdemeanors. The third individual in the vehicle was found to be uninvolved in criminal activity and was released.
