Golden K opens grant program for applications
Minot Golden Kiwanis is seeking applicants for its grant program to benefit children.
Any program serving youth in the Minot and surrounding area is eligible to apply. The deadline is Friday, Nov. 14. The grant forms are available at minot-golden-k-kiwanis.site123.me.
Past grants have included donations to Magic City Discovery Center, YMCA swimming program, Minot Roosevelt Zoo, Homeless Coalition, Domestic Violence, 2nd Story, scholarships, Anne Carlsen School, Salvation Army and American Legion Baseball.
Local grant programs of the Golden K are possible due to fundraising activities that include volunteering as door guards for Minot High volleyball and basketball tournaments, plus watching gates at the N.D. State Fair. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
