Credit Union celebrates day of kindness

Town & Country Credit Union joined credit unions nationwide in celebrating CU Kind Day on Oct. 13, a day dedicated to spreading kindness and making a difference through acts of service. With branches closed in observance of a federal holiday, 124 employees from across the organization volunteered their time in the Minot and Fargo communities, contributing 186 hours.

The Town & Country team partnered with 15 local nonprofit organizations, supporting causes ranging from food security and youth programming to animal welfare and community enrichment. In Minot, staff supported Hairball Haven, Roosevelt Park Zoo, Independence Inc., Companions for Children, Kalix, Delight & Co. Diaper Pantry, Dakota Hope Clinic and The Lord’s Cupboard Food Pantry.

“Our employees exemplified the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people,'” said Kalli Schell, CEO/president of Town & Country. “CU Kind Day gave us the chance to live out our mission in a meaningful way, by supporting the incredible organizations that serve our communities every day.”
