Public comment sought on proposed 2050 transportation plan
The Central Dakota Metropolitan Planning Organization has opened the public comment period on its 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, the City of Minot has announced.
This public comment and review period is part of the continued development of the region’s 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan, a federally required long-range transportation plan. The purpose of this comment period is to present the draft of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan. This plan focuses on regional transportation issues, considers potential transportation projects to address those issues and identifies future transportation projects with associated funding sources.
The public comment and review period will remain open through Oct. 27. Information is available on the project website at bit.ly/Move2050.
People may submit written statements, postmarked or emailed by Oct. 17, to Blue Weber, COS, Bolton & Menk, 414 University Ave., Grand Forks, ND 58201 or
blue.weber@bolton-menk.com with “Central Dakota MPO Plan” in the letter heading or e-mail subject.
The Central Dakota MPO also will hold a public meeting to take comments in conjunction with the Central Dakota DMPO Policy Board on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 4:30 p.m. in Minot City Hall, council chambers, located at 10 3rd Ave. SW.

The Central Dakota MPO will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities, language interpretation or translations of written material necessary to access Central Dakota MPO programs and information. Requests must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the meeting date or the date the written material translation is needed.
