A suspect was taken into custody in connection with a stabbing in southeast Minot Monday, Sept. 29, according to the Minot Police Department.

Police had conducted a search with the assistance of SWAT, K9 and drone teams before locating Isac Chaves-Zapa, 21.

Police reported searching in the area east of 13th Street Southeast and south of the U.S. 2 and 52 Bypass in response to a stabbing. Chaves-Zapa had fled the scene of the incident. Residents were asked to avoid the area during the search as it was unknown if the suspect was armed. The victim is known to the suspect, police stated.
