Norwegian Ambassador Anniken Huitfeldt will visit Minot on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 23 and 24, and will participate in activities of Norsk Hostfest, the festival organization announced. Norsk Hostfest runs from Sept. 24-27.

The Scandinavian Heritage Association will provide a personal tour of the Scandinavian Heritage Park, and Huitfeldt will meet with North Dakota First Lady and fellow Norwegian Kjersti Armstrong. The ambassador also will take part in Norsk Hostfest’s Governor’s Reception.

Huitfeldt will be a distinguished guest at the Bunad Show, taking place Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Oslo Hall in the North Dakota State Fair Center. She’ll also attend the opening ceremony at 2:30 p.m. in the Great Hall, which is free and open to all attending Norsk Hostfest.
