NDFB to elect leaders at annual meeting

FARGO – Members of the North Dakota Farm Bureau will gather Nov, 21-22 at the Holiday Inn in Fargo for the 83rd Annual Meeting, featuring leadership elections, policy discussions and networking.

President Daryl Lies has announced he will not seek re-election. Lucas Lang of Sterling and Val Wagner of Monango have declared their candidacies for president, while John Jacobson of Hatton is running for vice president. Elections will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Brian Nordmark from Bottineau is running for district representative in District 6. He has served as representative on the board since 2022. Nordmark is involved in the Bottineau County Ag Improvement Association, N.D. Young Republicans and Sons of Liberty.

On Friday, Nov. 21, voting delegates will review and vote on policies and there will be a live auction to benefit the scholarship program. Saturday night will feature keynote speaker Rob Sharkey, known as “The Shark Farmer.” Sharkey, an Illinois grain farmer and entrepreneur, is recognized for his innovative approach to agriculture through podcasts, radio and TV programs.
