ND250 Commission seeks volunteers for America Gives
BISMARCK — On this National Day of Service and Remembrance, the ND250 Commission is calling on North Dakotans to give back and to pledge their service in 2026 as part of America250 when the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary of independence.
Information about America Gives can be obtained from the state commission or any digital resources of America250.
“This is our chance to put North Dakota on the map as a state that works together and gives back,” said Bill Peterson, State Historical Society of North Dakota director and ND250 commission chair. “Whether it’s volunteering for the first time, teaching young people the value of giving back, or challenging yourself to find a new place to make an impact, every act of service counts. Together, we can make the Semiquincentennial a record-setting year of giving while also raising up our communities and the people and organizations they support.”
