The Magic City Discovery Center unveiled its new Magic Pathway on Monday, Sept. 8, celebrating a project designed to bring music accessibility to the community.
Executive Director Matt Farnsworth praised the Myron and Shirley Thompson family’s donation, calling their support crucial to the project’s success.
“The Magic Pathway is a way of bringing the magic of music to everybody,” Farnsworth said.
The pathway is fully Americans with Disabilities Act compliant, allowing visitors of all accessibility levels to experience its musical features. Located on the south side of the Discovery Center, it provides an alternative entry point to the facility.
Farnsworth emphasized the pathway represents a beginning, not an endpoint.
“This is the beginning of the Magic Pathway. It’s not the end. This is not the final result,” he said.
The Thompsons, local community supporters, were recognized for their significant contribution. Farnsworth noted the importance of having supporters who understand local community needs.
The pathway has officially opened, inviting Minot residents to explore its innovative design.
